Therapy

Therapy is so much more than processing a memory. It’s about results that really matter. It’s about freedom from incessant negativity, a calmness in the core of your body that hasn’t been there for a long time. It’s about curiosity, connection, compassion and moving toward a life of confidence and self-worth.

I understand that one way of therapy doesn’t work for everyone. I will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing on multiple evidence-based techniques for the best individualized results. With my empathetic and strengths-based framework, be prepared to infuse laughter, imagination, and creativity into sessions when it’s natural to do so.

I believe the best therapy combines experience and compassion and that’s my commitment to you.

 Meet Amy

Underneath what the rest of the world can see, Amy feels emotionally shattered by the pain of her past.

Amy is like many of my clients. She’s a professional woman working hard to succeed for her family. She’s experienced some very difficult circumstances in her past. As she goes about her everyday life, she tries to quiet the inner critic that constantly tells her she’s not good enough.

o   Amy is strong but finds herself people pleasing and neglecting her own needs.

o   She’s in an unhealthy relationship, again.

o   She’s not the kind of parent she thought she would be, and every corner of her life feels like it’s folding in on her.

o   She used to enjoy her work and now she’s pushing twice as hard to keep up.

Amy doesn’t know how to get out of this cycle and doesn’t feel like anyone would understand. She feels stuck

o   To make matters worse, memories are surfacing; memories from the past when she was a kid and she’s not sleeping well. She doesn’t want to remember.

o   Amy knows it’s time to get therapy to work on her trauma.

o   She’s ready to open that door to healing and a new way of life for herself and her family.

Does Amy’s story sound or feel familiar?

With the right support, expert guidance and compassion; change will happen.

A hopeful outlook

Amy’s life now looks hopeful. She notices that she smiles and laughs and has a bounce in her step. She’s living out of the strength she has and is secure in who she is. She has compassion and pride in herself. The work in therapy was hard at times, but it was worth it.

Her relationships have improved.  Her performance at work has increased right along with her confidence. She is proud of the compassionate and accepting parent she is and her biggest reward is seeing her children thrive.

Amy is no longer struggling with memories from her past. She’s confident about her future.

She has a vision for herself and each day she’s making it happen.
